No batteries are necessary with our solar installations. Instead, when the solar panels are generating more
electricity than is currently being used, the excess electricity is returned to the power grid and the user
receives an energy credit for use at a later time (the meter actually turns backwards). This "net metering" is
part of what makes solar electricity an effective and economical energy solution.
There are many significant benefits to solar electricity, including owning your own power, freedom from
increasing utility company electricity rates, using environmentally-friendly energy, converting an expense
into a positive investment, and taking advantage of the many valuable financial incentives offered by the
government and utility companies. These incentives immediately reduce the cost of purchasing a solar
electricity solution significantly. Read more about the financial benefits of having a solar system installed in our
Rebates & Incentives section.

Planning & Design
After initial discussions regarding your specific energy requirements, an on-site evaluation is conducted by
one of our system designers. Next we confirm overall project objectives and timelines with all parties
involved, and a design document is created that contains a refined cost estimate and detailed architectural plans.
|
Permits & Financing
Initial customer rebate and permit documents are prepared and submitted based on the design document.
We then schedule construction milestones and purchase the system components. If the cost of the system
will be financed, we can work with you and your lender, or we can provide you information on financial
institutions with which we have excellent relationships.
|
Installation & Inspection
The construction teams are coordinated to ensure that the system is installed professionally and on
time. Progress reports are generated throughout this phase, and when the installation is complete
the system is thoroughly inspected and tested.
|
Delivery & Maintenance
The finished system is then presented to you, at which time we also review with you its operation and
provide all documentation and warranty information. We also discuss suggested maintenance, and complete
the final customer rebate paperwork.
